Various Telkomsat Products Support the Success of ASEAN Summit 2023
Labuan Bajo, May 10, 2023 - The 42nd ASEAN Summit is currently taking place. Leaders from Southeast Asian countries are present and engaged in a grand event with the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicenter of Growth."
This event will be a momentum for Indonesia as the host country to showcase its excellence in various aspects, including telecommunications. Telkomsat, along with its parent company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom), has been entrusted with providing infrastructure and telecommunications services throughout the grand event.
During the event held from May 9th to 11th, 2023 in Labuan Bajo, Telkomsat has deployed various satellite innovations such as Satellite News Gathering, TV Uplink MCPC, Television Receive-Only (TVRO), Mobile Satellite Phone, and high-speed satellite internet service MangoStar. These Telkomsat services are placed in crucial venues such as the main venue, media center, and others.
On this occasion, Lukman Hakim Abd. Rauf, the President Director of Telkomsat, "Telkomsat has prepared the best infrastructure, including backup and satellite telecommunications services, to meet all communication needs and traffic surges during the ASEAN Summit. The readiness of TelkomGroup in preparing for the ASEAN Summit 2023 is appreciated by the Indonesian Minister of Communication and Informatics, Johnny G. Plate, and the Chief of Presidential Staff, Moeldoko, during their visit to the TelkomGroup Labuan Bajo Network Operation Center (NOC). This NOC serves as the command post and central monitoring center for all TelkomGroup's infrastructure and services for the ASEAN Summit 2023.
In his speech, the Minister of Communication and Informatics stated that digital infrastructure is one of Indonesia's showcases during the ASEAN Summit 2023 through the firsthand experience felt by attending leaders and delegates. "We greatly need the excellent performance of telecommunications infrastructure. This is our showcase for the success of development in the telecommunications and digital sectors. Let's make it a success," said the Minister of Communication and Informatics. The Minister also advised Telkom to anticipate force majeure and natural disasters by considering backup infrastructure routes.
