Telkomsat & Telkom Collaboration with BAKTI Supports First Lady's Communication to Komodo National P

East Nusa Tenggara - First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo together with members of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) scheduled a tree planting event in Loh Buaya, Rinca Island, Komodo National Park, Thursday (29/09/2022).

The tree planting was carried out at the Niang Komodo Information Center Point as well as visiting the Niang Komodo Information Center Museum, Loh Buaya, Rinca Island, Komodo National Park as an effort to increase publications on the development of national tourist destinations which is one of the government's main programs.

Rinca Island is one of the islands in West Flores which is the original habitat of the ancient Komodo dragon which is one of the icons of national tourist attractions and functions as a source of foreign exchange for the country, so communication technology support is needed.

The Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics in collaboration with Telkom and Telkomsat provides high-speed satellite-based communication technology up to 7 Mbps for uploads and 50 Mbps for downloads, as the basis for communication in one of the leading national tourism objects.

The Head of Management of National Park Region I Komodo National Park Hall, Julizar Riduan, S.Sos, expressed his appreciation for the availability of internet connection during First Lady Iriana Jokowi's visit to Rinca Island, "Alhamdulillah, Telkomsat's telecommunications network is very smooth to help communicate the visit of the First Lady and her entourage on Rinca Island.”

Head of BAKTI Satellite Infrastructure and Internet Access Division, Sri Sanggrama Aradea, expressed his gratitude to Telkom and Telkomsat for their support in providing internet connection on Rinca Island.

"Thank you to Telkom and Telkomsat for synergizing with BAKTI to provide internet access services during the First Lady's visit to promote national tourism on Rinca Island. In the future, satellite technology will become the main backbone to serve the outermost regions in Indonesia. Once again, I say thank you & keep up the good work.” said Sri Sanggrama Aradea.

The internet connection was prepared by Telkom and Telkomsat by involving reliable technicians to pursue service readiness according to schedule, CEO of Telkomsat Lukman Hakim Abd. Rauf expressed his commitment to the services provided by Telkom and Telkomsat, "The management of Telkomsat is always ready and solid to provide the best service to customers, especially in activities organized by the First Lady which has a much bigger goal for the nation and state, especially in preparing leading tourist destination in Indonesia."
