JAKARTA - Telkomsat, one of the well-known satellite-based telecommunications companies in Indonesia, has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of the country's maritime industry. This can be seen from his participation in the Indonesia Maritime Expo (IME) 2023 exhibition which was held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta on 17-19 October 2023. As we know, the Indonesia Maritime Expo (IME) 2023 is an international standard event which is included in the Indonesian maritime industry calendar, which is used as a venue for the entire maritime community in Indonesia to introduce technology, products, new innovations and business solutions, as well as strengthen networking.

Occupying a strategic booth, Telkomsat has the opportunity to introduce, educate and market various innovative products and services specifically designed to meet telecommunications needs in the maritime sector. Among them are MangoStar Maritim, VSAT Star Maritim, USAT, Vessel Information System (VIS), and Telkomsat AIS Data Provider.

"We believe that the technology and innovation we offer can provide integrated service solutions to support the continuity and efficiency of communications in the maritime sector. This is in line with our vision to support the progress of the maritime industry in Indonesia," said Telkomsat Senior Executive Account Manager I, Tjatur Prasetyo.

A sailor who was visiting the Telkomsat booth said, "I am impressed with the product innovation offered by Telkomsat here. Considering the importance of reliable communication when at sea, Telkomsat products such as MangoStar Maritime and VIS can certainly be a much-needed solution."

Telkomsat's participation in IME 2023 also indicates full support for the vision of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. For information, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry has rolled out a road map for the development of the Indonesian shipping industry since 2012 which will last until 2025. Apart from that, in the same spirit, the government also plans to increase ship design and engineering capabilities through the development of the National Ship Design and Engineering Center.

Apart from the Exhibition, IME 2023 also presents a conference session which presents various well-known resource persons as well as various business actors and stakeholders in the maritime sector. One of the main themes discussed was the direction map for the development of Indonesia's maritime sector for 2024, which is of course in line with Indonesia's Vision 2045.

Telkomsat is committed to continuing to innovate and support the development of the country's maritime industry through various maritime product innovations. With Telkomsat's presence at IME 2023, it is hoped that it can increase awareness of the importance of capable and international standard communication technology in supporting the progress of the Indonesian shipping industry.
