Telkomsat Receives a Visit from Bina Sejahtera 3 Bogor Vocational School
Bogor, 15 November 2023 - In order to support the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum and increase students' understanding of satellite technology, SMK Bina Sejahtera 3 Bogor City conducted an observation visit to the Telkomsat Satellite Control Headquarters located on Jl. Raya Narogong KM 26.5, Kembang Kuning, Klapanunggal, Bogor. This visit was attended by more than 100 participants consisting of students, teachers and teaching staff.
GM Satellite Operations Telkomsat, Fatmi Dewi Kandi Astuti, welcomed the group enthusiastically. In her speech, Mrs. Fatmi said, "We are proud to be able to share knowledge and experience in the field of satellite technology with the younger generation. This is a golden opportunity for them to learn and understand more deeply about satellite communications and its applications in everyday life."
After a warm welcome from Mrs. Fatmi, the students had the opportunity to listen to a presentation from Telkomsat IT Service & Infrastructure Manager, Gusfrian Imbar. In this session, Gusfrian introduced students to the Introduction to Satellite Communication Systems, including Introduction to Satellite Technology, Services and Applications Based on Satellite Technology, as well as Integration with Computer Science, Multimedia Networks, and Cyber ??Security.
This visit also allowed students to tour several important facilities in the office, such as visiting the NOC Room, and the Satellite Control Antenna. This gives them practical experience and direct visualization of how satellite operations are run.
This initiative is expected to not only enrich students' knowledge in the field of technology, but also motivate them to pursue careers in the information and communications technology sector. Visits like this also demonstrate Telkomsat's commitment to supporting education and inspiring the younger generation to become innovators in the future.
