Telkomsat Organizes Knowledge Sharing of Transponder & Broadcasting Services to TVRI
Bogor - In order to increase and share knowledge with customers regarding transponder and broadcasting technology, Telkomsat shared knowledge with TVRI represented by the Head of Transmission - Lantas Manalu, KASI Transmission Technology - M Topan, and their staff on June 18, 2020.
The knowledge sharing activity began at the Telkomsat Satellite Control Office and was welcomed by VP Satellite Operation - Mochamad Yazid Saktiono. In his remarks VP Satellite Operation welcomed the delegates and explained each work unit in the Satellite Operation unit.
Subsequently the delivery of material was continued by the GM Satellite Transponder & Carrier Service Center - Zigroseno Aswin. He explained about the various satellites operated by Telkomsat, the range of services to problem solving in the event of a disturbance.
In addition to delivering the material, the group had the opportunity to directly observe the satellite control room, customer care room and visit the VSAT antenna location located in the office yard accompanied by the Satellite Operation team.
The group was invited to visit the Satellite Transmission Headquarters located in Bogor. The delegation was welcomed by GM Service Deployment RF - Joko Dwi Wijayanto. He explained the advantages of Telkomsat broadcasting services that are able to distribute SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Distribution) broadcast with high quality supported by DVB-S2 standards and MPEG-4 compression technology.
With the support of reliable satellite technology, earth stations and terrestrial networks, broadcasts can be delivered to viewers quickly and efficiently.
Telkomsat has grown to become one of the providers of satellite-based telecommunications services that can contribute to the development and equitable distribution of infrastructure in Indonesia.
