Telkomsat Introduces MangoStar Service to BMKG For Enhanced Communication Services
Bogor - On August 11, 2023, Telkomsat welcomed a visit from the Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) represented by the Coordinator of the BMKG VSAT Division, Dudi Rojudi, accompanied by other BMKG officials. This visit concerns the initiation of synergies for the maintenance and development of communication and information services within the BMKG environment, especially in the Central Communication Network (PUSJARKOM).
The event began with an opening address from GM Assurance Management of Telkomsat, Teguh Priyono. In his speech, he extended a warm welcome to the delegation and described the functions of the Telkomsat Satellite Control Headquarters.
The presentation was then continued by the GM Military Police and Agency Service of Telkomsat, Widy Sulistianto. In his explanation, he described the ecosystem of Telkomsat products that can support BMKG operational activities, one of which is the MangoStar service.
MangoStar is a satellite-based internet access service from Telkomsat with a low orbit, presented as TRUE UNLIMITED without limits, with data speeds up to 500 Mbps, and latency comparable to optical fiber. The MangoStar service can be installed anywhere and is highly suitable for use in natural disaster areas that face challenges with telecommunication signals needed by BMKG.
During this visit, the BMKG team also had the opportunity to review the customer care room and directly see the antenna farm location in the Telkomsat office area.
