Telkomsat Helps Free Internet in Blank Spot Area Schools

Bogor - On August 26, 2020, Telkomsat held a visit to SMPN 4 Leuwiliang, Bogor as well as held the mangoesky Merah Putih CSR program. This CSR program is a form of corporate social responsibility to help government programs to advance its special education sector during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The form of assistance by Telkomsat is in the form of providing Mangoesky internet access service with a quota of 10GB per month, with a speed of 6Mbps for 12 months. The CSR program is expected to help the teaching and learning process of more than 600 students and 26 teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Leuwiliang.

Through the Mangoesky Merah Putih Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the President Director of Telkomsat - Endi Fitri Herlianto, hopes that in the future Telkomsat can become a role model or pilot project for companies / foundations or individuals who want to contribute to advancing the world of education in Indonesia through the provision of the Internet in blankspot area.

The existence of the mangoesky Merah Putih CSR program is also in line with the direction of the Director of Enterprise & Business Service of PT Telkom Indonesia, Edi Witjara, according to him the Telkom Group will continue to strive to realize the world of Indonesian education which has been carried out for a long time through various digital-based programs such as Internet Goes to School, Indonesia. Digital Learning and others.

With the launch of the mangoesky Merah Putih CSR program at SMP Negeri 4 Leuwiliang, Juwariah as the Principal of the School said that he was greatly helped by the internet network provided by Telkomsat.

"What Telkomsat is doing is very helpful in the teaching and learning process in our school, especially during this pandemic, which implements more learning with bold or online methods, and hopes that satellite internet from Telkomsat can also be provided to other schools in the Leuwiliang area," said Juwariah.

Through this program, the company hopes to contribute to programs that educate the nation's life by penetrating internet / digital services and of course helping to build a better company reputation.

The mangoesky Merah Putih CSR program will be further developed to provide mangoesky internet access assistance to other schools located in remote areas and blank spot areas. Of course, it is hoped that the active role of the community and other companies will contribute to support the program of providing free internet to reach more schools throughout Indonesia.
