Telkomsat Conducts Training for the Central Bureau of Statistics
JAKARTA - Telkomsat has recently conducted a special training session for one of its customers, the Central Bureau of Statistics Directorate of Statistical Information Systems (SIS). The event was held in Jakarta on October 19, 2023, with the aim to improve service quality and understanding between the two entities.
The training covered two important topics relevant to the current needs of BPS SIS. Ari Nuzul Fajri, Manager of Cyber Security & Internet System at Telkomsat, presented on BIND 9 (Berkeley Internet Name Domain), an open-source DNS (Domain Name System) server software used to manage and allocate domain names to IP addresses across the internet.
The second session, led by Widy Sulistianto, GM of Military, Police & Agency Services at Telkomsat, discussed the Development of a Satellite-Based Digital Ecosystem, particularly VSAT Star and other VSAT technologies. This discussion highlighted the importance of satellite technology integration with the ASEAN Masterplan 2025 for the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Both parties greatly benefited from this training, including a better understanding of Telkomsat's products, direct feedback from customers, more effective use of service features, and a closer relationship between Telkomsat and BPS SIS.
