Telkomsat Collaboration with PMI Bogor: 81 Blood Bags Collected in Blood Donation Action
Bogor, 23 August 2023 - PT Telkom Satelit Indonesia (Telkomsat) is again holding a blood donation activity in collaboration with the Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Bogor City. This blood donation activity is a real example of Telkomsat's commitment to helping others.
The event, which takes place every 3 months, is entitled "Give Your Blood, Give Your Love". This activity was held at the Bogor Satellite Transmission Headquarters and was attended by senior leaders, Telkomsat employees, work partners, and several people living in the neighborhood around the office. The blood donation activity went smoothly with the good enthusiasm of the participants. It was recorded that 98 people registered to donate blood starting from 08.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB, as many as 81 bags of blood were successfully collected.
Rifky, as one of the participants said that he routinely donates blood as a form of his concern, "I have routinely donated blood, and hopefully it can provide benefits for those in need," he said.
This social action not only provides direct benefits in terms of blood supply, but also increases public awareness of the importance of donating blood to help those in need, and donors also benefit from donating blood, from increasing red blood cell production, detecting disease to maintaining health. As it is said, a single drop of blood can save many lives.
On the other hand, Yustaf as a Telkomsat employee hopes that this activity will be carried out in a sustainable manner. "Hopefully this blood donation activity can continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis, if possible we will expand the quota of donor participants so that we can share more with those in need." he said.
This activity is also expected to be an inspiration for the community to involve themselves in blood donation, in line with the AKHLAK values which are the foundation of Telkomsat's corporate culture.
