Telkomsat & CFUE Holds Webinar: Discuss Satellite Technology For Nation's Telecommunication Future

Bogor - In order to share knowledge and accurate information regarding the development of satellites in Indonesia, Telkomsat and CFU Enterprise held a BROSS (BringITOn for Success) webinar which was held through the CloudX Video Conference media and broadcast live on USeeTV services on Thursday (26/11).

The BROSS webinar, which has now entered its 9th episode, carries the theme "Present and Future Space Business" which discusses satellite services from Telkomsat which play an active role in building a digital society to remote parts of the archipelago in order to improve the nation's economy.

This webinar was attended by more than 200 participants, consisting of Telkom Group employees, students to Enterprise segment customers who are interested in satellite technology. Present as Keynote Speaker, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan (Director of Operation Telkomsat) and Speaker by Philipus Nanang H Telkomsat (VP Strategic Business Development Telkomsat).

The session opened with a material explanation from the Director of Operation Telkomsat, in which he explained the history of the early launch of satellites in Indonesia which began in 1976. It can be said that at that time, this satellite was an infrastructure that could unite the Indonesian nation. In addition, he also said that space technology has a significant and significant contribution to human life, one example is the Apollo program which is included in the space industry. The Apollo program was the main driver of the microchip and microprocessor boom and the embryo of the silicon valley that we know so far.

After that, the session continued with the presentation of material by the VP of Strategic Business Development Telkomsat. In his presentation, he explained about the revolution and development of satellite technology that encourages the ecosystem to develop rapidly, including in services, value chains and technology itself. In addition, he said that currently Telkomsat and LAPAN are collaborating in developing a constellation of communications satellites in low earth orbit (Low Earth Orbit / LEO Constellation). Where the LEO Constellation satellite can be used to support the utilization of Automatic Identification System (AIS) data, disaster early warning, IoT to Earth Observation needed by Indonesia.

By holding this webinar, Telkomsat hopes to share knowledge related to satellite technology that is currently developing and provide an overview and explanation of Telkomsat's readiness in building the ecosystem of the Indonesian satellite industry which is expected to be beneficial for the progress of the Indonesian nation and state.
