Telkomsat and Indonesian Red Cross of Bogor City Collaborate in Blood Donation Campaign
Bogor, May 23, 2023 - PT Telkom Satelit Indonesia (Telkomsat) once again organized a blood donation event in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Bogor City. Carrying the theme "Give Your Blood, Give Your Love," this blood donation campaign is a manifestation of caring for others because a single drop of blood can make a significant difference in someone else's life.
The event, held at the Bogor Satellite Transmission Center, was attended by senior leaders, Telkomsat employees, working partners, as well as several members of the local community. The participants' enthusiasm was evident throughout the event, as indicated by the long queues of people registering for the blood donation activity.
One of the blood donors, Nana, expressed, "I am delighted to contribute to this activity. Donating blood is a simple yet meaningful way to help those in need. Hopefully, this event will help maintain an adequate blood supply at the PMI of Bogor City and assist many patients."
Scheduled to take place every three months, this program is considered as a form of corporate responsibility and care for the environment. Blood donation not only benefits the recipients but also offers remarkable benefits to the donors themselves, such as reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer, detecting serious illnesses, preventing premature aging, and promoting psychological well-being.
