Luwu, South Sulawesi - In an effort to assist the government in accelerating post-disaster recovery management following floods and landslides in Luwu, Telkomsat through its "Telkomsat Berbagi" program has provided support in the form of high-speed satellite internet access (MangoStar) for the personnel of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

The installation site for this service is located at the BNPB Command Post in the Luwu Regent's Office, Jl. Pahlawan, Belopa Sub-district, Luwu District, South Sulawesi. This area has experienced significant communication access difficulties due to the impact of the disaster. With the introduction of MangoStar, communication and coordination in emergency response situations are expected to run more smoothly and efficiently.

The MangoStar service offered by Telkomsat features true unlimited broadband internet using low earth orbit satellite constellation technology. This technology boasts very low latency, ideal for fast and reliable communication needs in disaster locations. Designed to meet the requirements of various segments, including SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), enterprises, government sectors, and maritime, this service is vital in supporting communication in emergency conditions such as natural disasters.

Besides supporting BNPB officials, MangoStar plays a crucial role in providing reliable solutions for areas that are difficult to reach by conventional internet connections, such as cables or optical fibers.

With this service, BNPB personnel can stay connected, access necessary information, and accelerate the coordination and execution of critical tasks in post-disaster recovery. This initiative not only supports a faster recovery process but also demonstrates Telkomsat's commitment to delivering technology that meets critical needs in times of crisis.
