Starlink is Telkomsat's Featured in Supporting LATMA Garuda Shield-16 2022

Amborawang, East Kalimantan - As the best satellite-based telecommunications service provider in Indonesia, Telkomsat supports the 2022 Garuda Shield-16 Joint Exercise (LATMA) with Starlink services. Starlink services have been proven capable and provide satisfaction in serving internet connections in the blankspot area as the location of LATMA in the Amborawang area, Samboja sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara district, East Kalimantan province.

During 15 July to 31 August 2022, Starlink services have been used for telecommunications needs, support and successful LATMA activities involving 14 countries, Indonesia, United States of America, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, France, United Kingdom, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, India, Canada, New Zealand and South Korea.

The Starlink service is trusted to support the success of LATMA Garuda Shield-16 because it has many advantages, including having the speed of the installation delivery process with lightweight and portable devices, having broadband service speeds equivalent to fiber optic, and being able to support telecommunication services up to 5G.

Danton Opforce - Letda Czi Mashabi, gave testimony and appreciated the presence of the Starlink service which provided smooth communication during LATMA.

“Before the Starlink service, we only got 1 signal bar, sometimes it was lost. However, after Starlink was introduced, the signal we got in Amborawang was full. For communication and the internet is smooth," said Lt. Czi Mashabi.

CEO of Telkomsat - Lukman Hakim Abd. Rauf, said that Telkomsat is committed to providing the best service and fully supports the success of this cross-country joint training activity.

“Various preparations have been prepared by Telkomsat as much as possible to support the implementation of this LATMA. We ensure that Starlink devices and communication facilities run normally," said Lukman Hakim Abd. Rauf.
