Provision of BAKTI Telecommunications Satellite Capacity by Telkomsat

Bogor - PT Telkom Satelit Indonesia (Telkomsat) supports PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) to collaborate with the Accessibility Agency for Telecommunications and Informatics (BAKTI) in providing capacity for Satellite Telecommunications in Indonesia. The signing of this collaboration was conducted at the Satellite Transmission Headquarters, Jl. K.H. Soleh Iskandar Km 6, Kayu Manis, Tanah Sareal, Bogor.

At the event attended by Telkom's Enterprise & Business Service (EBIS) Director - Dian Rachmawan, Telkom EVP DGS - Mohammad Salsabil, Telkomsat President Director - Tonda Priyanto, Telkomsat Board of Commissioners, Directors and Senior Leaders and representatives from BAKTI which produced an agreement to provide capacity satellite bandwidth that is able to cover the entire territory of Indonesia for five years.

According to Dian, Telkom must be able to support government programs in participating in equalizing access to telecommunications using High Throughput Satellite (HTS), and fully supporting the progress of industry 4.0 in Indonesia.

According to the definition of the World Economic Forum, industrial revolution 4.0 is the disruption of internet technology into the production process so that the processing of goods and services can be more efficient, fast, and mass. This is characterized by the use of robotic technology, intellectual engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), nanotechnology, to cloud computing systems.

Telkomsat as a subsidiary of Telkom has proven success in expanding its business to serve all Indonesian people who need the implementation of telecommunications services and at the same time developing new services in the rapidly developing telecommunications world.
