The internet has become a very important aspect of human life today that is difficult to separate from daily activities. Almost every activity, from getting up in the morning to going to bed has something to do with the internet. But in fact, not all regions in Indonesia are covered by the internet. Data from Kominfo in 2020, there are still 12,548 villages and sub-districts in Indonesia that have not been reached by 4G.

In addition, there is good news from the digital literacy index in Indonesia. Indonesia's digital literacy in 2020 got a score of 3.47. It has not achieved a good score (4.00), but it is already slightly above the “medium” score (3.00). This gives the fact that human resources in Indonesia are well-literate digitally, especially if it is supported by the availability of internet access throughout Indonesia. During this pandemic, many companies are offering their internet services, especially by using fiber optics which have a large bandwidth. It is true that is one of its advantages. However, what about areas that cannot be reached with fiber optics?

One of the devices that can be used to reach the area is a satellite. Telkomsat, which is a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia, provides satellite services from upstream to downstream with high quality and international standards. Active satellites from Telkomsat can reach all regions of the archipelago, even in places that cannot be reached by fiber optics, such as in the 3T area.

Telkomsat has a product that can reach the 3T area, namely Mangoesky. Its extraordinary service can even reach areas that are not covered by fiber optic cable and mobile access. Mangoesky presents a solution in the form of satellite-based broadband internet access that can be enjoyed by the community (village internet), especially in areas that have not been reached by ADSL cable networks, fiber optics, or other high-speed mobile services. Mangoesky contributes to increasing the distribution of information technology and digital services in Indonesia with retail customers, housing, cafes, villas, schools, government offices and corporations. Not only supporting government and education in 3T areas, Mangoesky also supports digital acceleration for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). We all know that online sales can increase turnover by hundreds of percent, especially during a pandemic that limits mobilization. Increased turnover which can also increase people's income can play an important role in breaking the viscous circle of poverty.

The viscous circle of poverty is a cycle consisting of low per capita income which causes a low level of saving and a low level of demand. Low levels of saving and low levels of demand have an impact on low levels of investment in physical and human capital, which also causes low productivity and then again causes low per capita income, as well as others.

The process of buying and selling through the internet can increase sales turnover which is also income for the seller. Therefore, by increasing income, it can increase demand and saving, then investment in physical and human capital, thus increasing productivity. Increased productivity is expected to encourage a digital economy that is evenly distributed throughout Indonesia.
