Bogor - On November 12, 2020, Telkomsat was one of the speakers at the Education and Training (Diklat) event entitled Capability and Managerial Improvement of Industry-Based Vocational Principals. This training event was held by the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education and Culture (Directorate General of Vocational Education-Kemdikbud), Directorate of Partnership for Business and Industry-Kemdikbud together with the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB.

In the event which was attended by 90 Principals, the Director of Finance & Administration, Rizal Ahmad Fauzi, explained the brief history of the formation of Telkomsat, Culture AKHLAK and the introduction of products and total solutions offered by Telkomsat. In addition, he also conveyed the challenges of the telecommunications industry in the Covid-19 era.

According to him, during the Covid-19 pandemic, many community activities were carried out online or online due to distance restrictions. Starting from teaching and learning activities, worship and working from home. This has an effect on the increasing need for the Indonesian people for the internet.

In responding to these challenges, Telkomsat as a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk continues to optimize the existence of 3 satellites in operation. These satellites play an important role in providing needed telecommunication services, especially in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) areas, including one of which is to digitize education in Indonesia. In implementing satellite services in the 3T area, there are opportunities for collaboration between Telkomsat and SMK graduates who are trained as installation and maintenance assistance technicians in the field.

It is hoped that Telkomsat's participation in this event can provide insight into knowledge related to the world of telecommunications and introduce Telkomsat's role in providing solutions by providing telecommunications access for national development, especially in supporting the progress of education in Indonesia.
